FRIDAY, February 1, 2019 – Please arrive early at 11:30 am for Live Scan and join us at the San Gabriel Valley Bar Association’s general meeting.

Place:  Almansor Court, located at 700 South Almansor Street, Alhambra, CA 91801.

Dennis Huang focuses on estate planning, with insight into the concerns of individuals, families and business owners concerned with legal planning and the challenge of transitions and succession. He devotes attention to trusts, asset protection, tax minimization strategy, business planning and succession, wills and estate planning.

Dennis received his law degree from the University of Pennsylvania, his undergraduate degree from UCLA and is admitted to both the California and New York Bar.

As a board member of the Asian Pacific Community Fund and a pro bono volunteer to the Southern California Chinese Lawyers Association, he is dedicated to helping his community. He frequently speaks on Estate Planning matters to groups of attorneys, physicians, accountants and financial professionals.

The presentation provides 1.0 hours towards the required MCLE for the State Bar of California.

$74 Live Scanning will be available on a first come, first serve basis and about 10-15 people will be able to complete the Live Scan at each meeting.

All attorneys will need to log into the California Bar Association website and generate the form for live scan (2 copies).  It populates itself with the attorney’s information.  Bring that form to the LiveScan and the vendor will give you an ATI number that you need to input back into the California Bar Association website under your name (proof that live scan has been completed).  

Please feel free to invite your colleagues to attend as well. Lunch will be $45 for non-members.

Donald P. Schweitzer is a Certified Family Law Specialist with over 20 years of trial experience. Mr. Schweitzer worked in numerous units within the District Attorney’s office including, Writs and Appeals, Family Support, Municipal Court, Felony Panel, Gang Target, Felony Filing, and the Sexual Assault Unit. While at the District Attorney’s office, Mr. Schweitzer successfully tried over 70 cases with a 95% conviction rate. Mr. Schweitzer has handled almost every type of case imaginable, including enforcement of child support cases, DUI, felony narcotics, homicides, assaults with a deadly weapon, and sexual assaults. Earlier in his career, Mr. Schweitzer was a Police Officer for nearly ten years, where he served as a Gang Homicide Detective, a member of the Special Weapons and Tactics Units (S.W.A.T.), and worked various narcotics assignments.
